Baz

Baz is working on developing two major aspects of himself lately- vocabulary (yayyyy!) and escape (boooooo). It's great to hear him come up and say "I need drink" or something else similar, but in an almost complete phrase. He's also great at announcing EVERYTHING we pass as we drive and actively seek out trucks.

Today's newer development is that he's becoming more and more afraid of things. I suppose it's jstu to be different than his sister (who is afraid of NOTHING), but he was first afraid of the sprinklers, and then of going under a bridge. Huh? I'm hoping it's just part of the 2 year old learning thing, but it's going to be hard to manage such opposite ends of the spectrum!

We took him for his 1 year checkup at the ped cardiologist last week, but I really didn't get any info out of that visit.....after being cooped up in a tiny dungeon of an office for over 2.5 hours, he refused to sit still for an echo and ripped of the holter within minutes of it being placed on. Since the staff there couldn't even bother to warn me that it would be quite a wait so we could go run around outside or something, I'm not going back there, so we've got to change docs. He'll probably get the same recommendations, but maybe they'll be more considerate of the attention spans of children/babies and it will be less painful.
