It's a girl!!!!! (for sure)

I had my 35 week checkup today and that included an ultrasound. Besides confirming that the baby is head-down (ready for escape!!!) and everything still looks healthy, we found out that this kid is definitely all girl! I've gotten kinda nervous lately that we didn't get a REALLY good look before and I'd certainly be just as happy with a boy as a girl, I've gotten used to the idea of a girl, so it would take a little rearranging in my mind. Also, we've got girl name choices and nothing for a boy, so name-wise, it's good too. The tech estimated baby's weight at 6lbs, 5-7 ounces. Granted, these weights are often off by up to a pound give or take, but it gives us an idea of what we're looking at (which is a bigger babe than the first two assuming she stays put for at least 2 more weeks).

Anya is happily enjoying the amusement park with my parents and her cousins. The weather is perfect- sunny and warm, but not too hot- and the crowds are not bad at all. She's starting to ask when she's going to come home, so we've got that in the works, hopefully before she really gets homesick! She still has little to no interest in talking to George or I more than to say "Hi, I love you, bye!".

Baz has become quite the chatterbox lately. Of course, most of his full phrases include the word "fart", but he IS a boy. On the way to the aquarium on Sunday, we passed the water park so now each time we pass the mall, he INSISTS that it's the water park. He's also taken up singing and dancing- cutest thing ever! His favorite songs are ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and Lavender's Blue (I love the dilly dilly part because he can't pronounce the l's so they sound like w's- awwwwww)

George had to have a little discussion with Baz the other day about terminology. Both kids know that when Grandma and Pap-Pap come to our house, we go out to dinner on a date. As a result, Anya often asks George to go on a "date" with her to the play kitchen where she makes him dinner. Baz has watched this and started asking daddy to go on a date with him. With a little intervention, George has now taught him that guys "hang out" together so now they (we) hang out near the play kitchen while Baz cooks!
